'Golden hare of Rathlin Island'

This illustration was my entry into the Mammal Society's 'Illustrator of the year 2026 competition.' 

I chose the natural phenomenom by which Irish hare on Ratlin island can have an almost golden blonde morph. 

I used tetrapak to make different elements and then photoshop to collage them all together. The artwork was awarded 'highly commended by the competition judges.
